Stories & conversations

A place for our stories.

Every person carries a story that could help someone else feel seen. We are creating space for LGBTQIA+ people to share their lives in their own words: the joyful moments, the difficult ones and everything in between.

This space is just beginning. Start with our introduction below, or read how Steve and Seyit's conversation became Queerly.

The stories that bring us closer

No one story can represent our whole community. Queerly will make room for many voices, backgrounds and experiences - sharing the moments that shaped us and the things we can learn from each other.

Every person in our community carries experiences that can help someone else feel seen, safer and more confident. Queerly will share personal stories from across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, with the people behind them speaking in their own voices.

Our conversations and Voiced by Queerly make room for joy, culture and the difficult subjects that are too often left unspoken. We want to listen across differences and learn from one another.

We are still building this space. If you would like to share your story, suggest a conversation or help shape what comes next, write to us through the Contact us page.

Voiced by Queerly

Our first recording. A personal story.

We recorded our first episode on 16 October 2026. To begin, we chose a conversation between Queerly’s co-creators, with Seyit interviewing Steve about his life and the experiences that shaped him.

Steve shares his story of experiencing abuse, from childhood and family life through school, work and relationships. Together, they reflect on abuse within the queer community, the hurt that can happen in spaces where we hope to find acceptance, and why making room for honest conversations matters.

Editing is taking longer than we originally planned, so the episode will arrive later than announced. We’re taking the time this personal story deserves and look forward to sharing it with you.
