Meet Queerly

The people and shared vision behind Queerly.

A community. A conversation. A more connected tomorrow.

ABOUT QUEERLY

Created to bring people closer together.

Queerly is a new LGBTQIA+ community and media platform created in Switzerland with a simple but meaningful purpose: to bring people closer together.

Although we are part of one beautiful and diverse community, we do not always have enough opportunities to truly meet, understand and learn from one another. Queerly was born from the belief that greater visibility should also lead to stronger connection—and that queer life becomes richer when we can share it openly and experience it together.

One of our most important goals is to give a voice to people who may not feel safe, confident or able to speak up for themselves. We want Queerly to be a platform where different experiences can be shared honestly and where every part of our community can feel seen, heard and represented.

Through personal stories, social content, podcasts, cultural features, events and community collaborations, we aim to create an inclusive space where LGBTQIA+ people can connect without fear of judgment.

In our future podcast, we also want to address difficult and sensitive subjects that are often avoided or simply never brought to the table. We believe these conversations matter. By approaching them with honesty, openness and respect, we hope to create a safe space for different voices and experiences—even when the topics may be challenging or uncomfortable.

Queerly is being developed hand in hand with Studio Eight Agency. By combining our personal connections to the queer community with experience in creativity, communication, storytelling, strategy and event development, we aim to build a platform that is meaningful, engaging and genuinely shaped by the people it represents.

Meet the people behind it

Two creators. One shared commitment.

István “Steve” Könyves

Meet Steve

Community. Connection. Conversation.

István “Steve” Könyves is one of the faces behind Queerly and one of the two people who developed the idea and vision for the platform together.

Originally from Hungary and now living in Switzerland, Steve understands what it means to search for belonging and build a sense of community in a new country. His personal experiences have strengthened his belief in openness, visibility and the importance of creating spaces where people can be themselves without fear of judgment.

Steve brings his passion for community building, authentic communication and human connection to Queerly. He is especially interested in meeting people, listening to their experiences and creating opportunities for voices and stories that might otherwise remain unheard. His openness, empathy and ability to connect with others help shape the community-focused side of the platform.

Real connection happens when we listen, share and create space for every voice.Steve

Seyit Ibili

Meet Seyit

Creativity. Representation. Impact.

Seyit Ibili is the other face behind Queerly, the co-creator of its idea and vision, and the owner of Studio Eight Agency.

With Turkish roots, Seyit understands how cultural and social expectations can sometimes make it difficult for LGBTQIA+ people to live openly, express themselves freely or feel fully accepted. This has given him a deep appreciation for the importance of safe and inclusive spaces where people can connect without having to hide who they are.

Seyit brings his strengths in creative direction, branding, communication and content development to Queerly. His creative perspective helps give the platform its visual identity, shape its storytelling and transform shared ideas into meaningful content and experiences.

Inclusive spaces create stronger people, stronger communities and a brighter future.Seyit

One shared vision

Different experiences. One commitment to community.

Steve and Seyit bring different life experiences, cultural backgrounds and professional strengths to Queerly, but they share the same ambition: to build something authentic that serves the community and grows together with it.

While Steve contributes strongly to Queerly’s community-building, communication and relationship-focused direction, Seyit brings his creative, visual and strategic experience. Every part of Queerly is built through their shared ideas, decisions and commitment to creating something meaningful for the community.

Queerly is not intended to speak on behalf of every queer person. Instead, we want to provide a platform where people can speak for themselves—especially those whose voices are too often overlooked or unheard.

This is only the beginning. We look forward to meeting the people, organisations, creators, businesses and community spaces that will help shape Queerly’s journey—and to discovering what we can create together.
